Season 10 of Call the Midwife is about to start! The new season – which faced a production delay caused by the global pandemic — begins Sunday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. on NPT and continues weekly through Sunday, Nov. 14. A 10th anniversary retrospective airs Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. Each new episode will be available to stream for free from its broadcast premiere through Dec. 21.
Vanderbilt School of Nursing midwives Hannah Diaz and Kate Virostko are returning with weekly recap blog posts to add to each episode. Look for their posts Mondays at 8 a.m.
This season of Call the Midwife starts in 1966 and World Cup Fever is sweeping over London. The Nonnatus House team and neighbors face new challenges in medicine, society and their personal lives. Trainee midwives arrive and the women’s rights movement is building, giving everyone new ideas and perspectives to consider.
