NPT is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Cumberland University, a private liberal arts university in Lebanon, Tennessee. Through this partnership, Cumberland University will sponsor two channels: NPT WORLD and NPT CREATE. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in NPT’s mission to enhance education and expand opportunities for Middle Tennesseans.

NPT WORLD (NPT2) is devoted to telling stories that humanize complex issues through news, documentaries and other informational programming. NPT WORLD offers news programs from Britain, Europe and Asia, along with long-running documentary series POV and Independent Lens. Shows such as America Reframed, about social issues, and Local USA, a short-form weekly news magazine, cover diverse communities across the U.S. NPT WORLD is channel 8.2 over the air or Comcast channel 241.
NPT CREATE (NPT4) is dedicated to lifestyle programming – shows about cooking, travel and crafts – to inspire viewers. Treasured public media presenters such as Lidia Bastianich, Rick Steves, Christopher Kimball, Samantha Brown and J. Schwanke are part of the current lineup. NPT CREATE (NPT4) is channel 8.4 over the air or Comcast channels 241 and 1161, and Charter channels 190, 192, or 193 (depending on area).
