Nashville ‘Antiques Roadshow’ episodes premiere in Feb. 2023!

Air dates for the Antiques Roadshow Nashville episodes taped this spring at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens have been announced! The three episodes will premiere Mondays, Feb. 13 and 20, and March 13, 2023. These shows will also be available on the PBS Video App.

According to the show’s producers, one of the finds from the Nashville taping includes a piece of Cold War space race history. The item was signed by astronaut Alan Shepherd – the first American to fly in space – and was brought to the event by a woman whose father was a technical writer on the Mercury program.

Behind-the-scene photos from the taping are available here.

The Nashville taping on May 10, 2022, marked Antiques Roadshow’s return to full-scale filming on a fully open set for the first time in three years. It was also the first time the show had been to Nashville in 25 years. Other stops on the 2022 production tour were Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho; Museum Hill in Santa Fe, N.M.; Filoli Historic House and Garden in Woodside, Calif.; and Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vt.

This upcoming season of Antiques Roadshow will be the 27th and the series has been nominated for 20 Emmys over the years.

Outstanding show at Cheekwood Estates and Gardens! Would it be possible to make it a yearly event? If not, when will you film a show in the Middle TN area? Rippavilla in SpringHill would be an excellent . Rattle and Snap in Columbia would be a beautiful location too. I think a yearly local filming of the Antiques Roadshow in the Tennessee area would be a lovely tribute to our wonderful state!

Having Antiques Roadshow in town was so much fun!! The show’s model is to film all over the U.S., so it may be a while before the Roadshow returns to Middle Tennessee or Tennessee in general. Meanwhile, NPT sometimes hosts a smaller appraisal event, so keep watching for that.

I loved the rugs created in Quito, Ecuador by Olga Fisch. I believe I may have one by her rugs purchased in Quito in 1947 or 48 by my parents when stationed there. I can send a photo if desired.
