NPT received an award during the 53rd Annual Public Media Awards ceremony held Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, during the virtual NETA Conference and CPB Thought Leader Forum.
NPT took the honors in the following category:

NPT was honored for its Facing North Collage tour, an interactive exploration of the title art for NPT’s Facing North: Jefferson Street, Nashville, and The Black Church Mapping Project, an interactive website of the histories and locations of Nashville’s Black churches. This project was inspired by The Black Church: This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song, the original PBS series produced by Henry Louis Gates Jr.
NPT was a finalist in the OVERALL EXCELLENCE IN MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS category for NPT Digital +.
