Former surfer Jack Johnson and indie-rock/alt-country darlings Rilo Kiley share tomorrow night’s episode of Austin City Limits, airing on NPT-Channel 8 at 10 p.m. Consider extending bedtime for the kids with this one, at least for Johnson, who reached a whole new demographic of fans with his music for the children’s movie Curious George. The soundtrack from the movie, Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George, opened at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Johnson performs songs from his CD, In Between Dreams.
Jenny Lewis, frontwoman for Rilo Kiley, released one of the biggest critical success stories of 2006 with her record Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, Rabbit Fur Coat. Rilo Kiley plays songs from the band’s CD More Adventurous.
