I have a vast family tree that I have been working on for decades. I have combined very old copies handed down for generations with the modern technology of the internet. I would love to verify connections to Eleanor of Aquitaine, Charlemagne, many presidents, many writers and actors, etc. Are your genealogists looking for more subjects to study?

I just finished watching your show again. I can understand how they felt. I was born in Tucson AZ but I have moved around so much. I know my immediate family but I have so many family members (at least I think I do) I know nothing about. I know my mothers family came from Florida & I think my fathers family came from Indiana.
I moved around so much as a child I really don’t have a home base. I met people that grew up, went to school, & have had the same friends their whole life. I just can’t relate to that at all. I wish I could.
I almost feel adrift, like I don’t really belong anywhere. I sometimes think that if I knew where my family came from & what they were like I would feel not so adrift.
Can you point me in the right direction? How do I go about finding out about my family. I would appreciate any suggestions you could give me. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful day.

Sincerely,

Sandra L. Shannon

I have been researching my Godwins now for 20 years and still cant establish a father for my 3rd great grandfather. According to family He was bushwhacked and hung towards the end of the Civil war and the entire family made to watch. The childrens Mother passed away before his death in child birth. I would love to find the rest of my Godwin lines. My 2nd great grandmother Olive Godwin had 5 children all out of wedlock and we still don’t have proof positive of my Great grandfathers father. All in my Godwin lines. There are a lot more tragedies in this Godwin line but to numerous to list here

I have traced the Case family genealogy back several generations. My fifth generation grandfather, Job Case was a Captain in the Connecticut Militia and fought in the Revolutionary War. The part I am puzzled about (and would make an interesting show) is that Job Case’s great grandfather (my eighth generation grandfather) was married to a woman named Sarah Spencer.

I have been told (but have absolutely no proof) that she is in the same line as Princess Diana and her two famous children, Prince William and Prince Harry. This would make me a distant cousin to the famous royal family.

I have sent an application with no photos, due to my lack of “sabe with computers”,but now I have two emails with photos, and newspaper clipings and whole page of my grandfather’s grandfather’s activities on trying to win war against Spain in Mexico about in 1811 (?),He was captured and sent to the fireingsquad,His name was Juan Ignacio ramon,I am able to send this emails to you,My paternal grandfather’s name was Fernando Garza Ramon,His brother came to the usa,(like me) not wanting to be close to our family,His name was Francisco Garza Ramon,I became to usa in 1957,became a citizen my self in 1962.

Thankyou.
