‘Call the Midwife’ Season 14 starts March 30

Call the Midwife returns to Nashville PBS for Season 14(!) Sunday, March 30, at 7 p.m. The Nonnatus House crew welcomes a new class of trainee midwives in a new decade (1970). Early access to Season 14 is available via PBS Passport. Vanderbilt School of Nursing midwives Una Sammon, returning from last season, and Lila Humbert, will write weekly recaps of the episodes. Una Sammon Vanderbilt Nurse Practitioner

Una Sammon, CNM, has been a practicing certified nurse-midwife since 2019. She thoroughly enjoys partnering with women to achieve their health goals and takes particular joy in educating both patients and students. She attends births at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and lives in Nashville, Tenn., with her husband and perfect baby boy.

Lila Humbert

Lila Humbert, CNM, cared for women as an RN in high-risk obstetrics before earning her master’s degree and beginning practice as a certified nurse-midwife in 2018. She has worked her entire midwifery career at Vanderbilt Birth Center (formerly Baby+Co) and has enjoyed every moment of it. She has three children (all of whom were born at the birth center), a husband who considers himself an honorary midwife, and a naughty dog, Pippen.
