NPT’s new show explores what various people would do if given the chance to make a fresh start. Clean Slate with Becky Magura premieres Sunday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. and will be available on the PBS app. Ketch Secor, frontman of Grammy-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show and author of children’s book Lorraine, is the first guest.
In the series Magura, NPT’s president and CEO, and her guests discuss topics ranging from the small things to the most significant; highlighting the joys, triumphs, struggles and self-doubt everyone faces from time to time. The series encourages viewers to reflect, look inward and learn from the experiences of neighbors.
Upcoming episodes of Clean Slate with Becky Magura will feature singer-songwriter Judah Akers of alt-pop band Judah & the Lion (premiering March 19 at 6:30 p.m.) and former Nashville mayor Megan Barry.
Magura previously hosted One on One with Becky Magura on WCTE in Cookeville, where she was president and CEO. Now at NPT, she is excited to start a new series.
NPT launched another discussion show, A Slice of the Community, last fall. That series is hosted by NPT producer Jerome Moore and is also available on YouTube and the PBS app.
