Readers, we have A Word on Words updates! Jeremy Finley will be joining New York Times bestselling author J.T. Ellison as co-host in the upcoming season. With pandemic restrictions lifted, we’re looking forward to more in-person interviews, thus the return to Nashville-based hosts.
Jeremy’s debut novel, The Darkest Time of Night, was published in 2018 and was named a “must-read” by the New York Post. That year People Magazine called the novel one of the best books of the summer.
But it wasn’t until Jeremy’s second novel, The Dark Above, that A Word on Words caught up with him. Here he is speaking with J.T. in 2020.
To many in Nashville, of course, Jeremy will be familiar as the chief investigative reporter at WSMV-TV. In his television journalism career he’s received regional Emmys and Edward R. Murrow awards as well as national Edward R. Murrow and Headliner awards. He is a two-time recipient of the IRE award, a national honor awarded by Investigative Reporters and Editors.
Jeremy is at work on his third novel and lives in Nashville with his wife and two daughters.
In other A Word on Words news, NPT senior producer Suzy Hence is again at the helm of the series. We also want to thank novelist Alka Joshi for her contributions as co-host last season.
