NPT and Tennessee’s five other public television stations are partnering with the Tennessee Department of Education to offer educational programming beginning Sept. 8, 2020. TDOE’s Teaching Tennessee lessons air weekdays from 9 to 11 a.m. CT and will continue throughout the fall semester.
These will be followed by Sesame Street at 11 a.m. and Elinor Wonders Why, a new animated PBS Kids show about using science inquiry skills, at 11:30 a.m.
September’s Teaching Tennessee programming focuses on English Language Arts and math for students in 1st through 2nd grades. For updated schedule information, check the TDOE’s PBS Teaching Tennessee website.
Note: The lessons and most of NPT’s other programming are available to livestream through NPT’s Live TV options.
