Season 9 of Call the Midwife begins Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m. on NPT and continues weekly through Sunday, May 17. Vanderbilt School of Nursing midwife Hannah Diaz returns as a guest blogger, joined by fellow VUSN midwife Kate Virostko, to write weekly recaps adding historical and contemporary context to each episode. Look for their posts Mondays at 8 a.m.

New this year, each Call the Midwife episode will be available on NPT Passport the Friday before its Sunday broadcast! Watch the season premiere Friday, March 27, on NPT Passport.

In Season 9, the Nonnatus House team continues their work amid new challenges as the population shifts, rules change and old diseases return. The season starts with quirky Mother Mildred in residence; later, a quartet of doctor trainees arrives.
