Dave Matthews Band will join Pearl Jam, M. Ward, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Andrew Bird and more this year on Austin City Limits as the venerable public television performance show celebrates 35 years. Dave Matthews Band will kick off the season on October 3, 2009 with hits and songs from its latest album Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. The Pearl Jam episode, schedule to air in late November (check local listings), finds the classic alternative rock band playing songs from its latest album Backspacer, as well as catalogue favorites.

Oct. 10, 2009 – Ben Harper and Relentless7
Oct. 17, 2009 – Kenny Chesney
Oct. 24, 2009 – Andrew Bird followed by St. Vincent
Oct. 31, 2009 – M. Ward followed by Okkervil River
Nov. 7, 2009 – Elvis Costello
Nov. 14, 2009 – Willie Nelson & Asleep at the Wheel
Nov. 21, 2009 – Pearl Jam
Also announced, and coming in early 2010, will be Austin City Limits’ first ever Hip-Hop show with Mos Def and K’Naan as well as episodes including Sonic Youth, Steve Earle and Kris Kristofferson.
