Our original documentary, Next Door Neighbors: Little Kurdistan USA was recently screened as part of HCA’s Cultural Inclusion Series, an ongoing program that provides HCA employees with a forum for innovative and educational interactions that include engaging cultural and artistic presentations. NPT’s Beth Curley, Kevin Crane and Daniel Tidwell were in attendance along with documentary principles Kasar Abdulla and Remziya Suleyman. The screening was followed by a Q&A session hosted by Sherri Neal, HCA’s AVP, Diversity and Inclusion. Kasar and Remziya provided those in attendance with moving insights into the experiences of Kurdish refugees in the United States. The HCA Foundation is a major funder of NPT’s NDN project along with the Nissan Foundation and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
