SHOP BARNES & NOBLE THIS WEEKEND, SUPPORT NPT, SEE EMMYLOU

Here’s an easy way to get some holiday shopping done AND support public television AND see Emmylou Harris! From Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 18, you can show your support of Television Worth Watching at NPT’s Book Fair at all area Barnes and Noble Bookstores, including the stores at Cool Springs, Opry Mills and The Avenue in Murfreesboro. Simply mention NPT at checkout during these four days and 10% of your purchases at all area Barnes and Noble locations will go towards the quality programming you enjoy on NPT. Be sure to check out the list of special in-store events during this time, including an appearance by Curious George at the Cool Springs store.

Here’s the Emmylou part (and you’re hearing it here first). As of this writing, Emmylou will be introducing PETA Senior Vice President Dan Matthews at his Saturday 2 p.m. appearance at the Cool Springs location. Matthews will be reading from and signing his memoir Committed.

Thursday, November 15 at 6:00 PMJason Wright, author of The Wednesday Letters and Christmas Jars will be reading and signing both of his remarkable family fiction novels.

Saturday, November 17 at 10:00 AM — Gobble, Gobble, Gobble! Gather in the Children’s Department for a Thanksgiving story and craft.

Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 PM — Join husband and wife writing team of Diane and David Munson as they introduce their third novel, Camelot Conspiracy. Using their experiences as a federal prosecutor and a special agent, the Munsons have created another intriguing suspense thriller.
