The Tennessee Soybean Festival in Martin; a farm in Sparta; an old house with Civil War memories in Cornersville; and a Sword Swallower in Nashville — Tennesseans got to visit all of these places and people last night. In fact, so many people watched Tennessee Crossroads on NPT last night that it was the highest rated public television show in the entire nation. That means, with a 5.1 rating, that NPT’s ratings for Crossroads were higher than any other public television show that aired during prime time anywhere around the country, be it New York, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles or the big daddy of Public Television stations, Portland. Segment hosts Rob Wilds, Tressa Bush and Susan Watson, host Joe Elmore and executive producer Ken Simington are going to start becoming insufferable around here.
Last night’s episode airs again on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. Learn more at http://www.wnpt.net/crossroads.
