Nashville Pubic Television is proud to partner with Lipscomb University’s HumanDOCS film series and P.O.V. on Wednesday, September 26 at 8:30 p.m. at the Shamblin Theatre for an advance screening of Chilean filmmaker Patricio Guzmán‘s Nostalgia for the Light. In the visually stunning and extraordinary documentary, Guzmán uses the Atacama Desert in northern Chile — site of one of the world’s most powerful telescopes as well as repository for bones from the Pinochet dictatorship — to ponder questions about time, history, even faith.
The film was An Official Selection of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, and a Winner of the 2011 International Documentary Association Award for Best Feature.
The screening at the Shamblin Theatre is free and open to the public.
It’s airs on P.O.V. on NPT on Sunday, November 4 at 10:00 p.m.
