If you’ve been watching NPT for the last week and half, you know we’re in the middle of our on-air March Membership Campaign. It takes a lot of food to fuel a typical drive. Often two to three weeks in length three or four times a year, the drives involve a cast of over two dozen people each night, including phone bank volunteers, camera operators, control room staff, producers, directors and on-air talent. Area restaurants typically — and very generously — donate food for the drives. Starting with this drive however, only two places will be providing the food, Whole Foods Market in Green Hills & Wild Oats in Cool Springs, which have agreed to be the station’s exclusive Membership Drive Food Partner. It’s a pretty big deal for one company (Whole Foods Market is the parent company for Wild Oats) to be our sole partner, and we’re extremely grateful and delighted.
