In a city known for music, Nashville Metro Parks Music division provides music opportunities to Nashville and its surrounding communities by offering free summertime concerts. These concerts have dancing, live music, and activities for all ages. The most popular concert is the Big Band Dance held in Centennial Park.
The Big Band Dance concert series is held every Saturday, June – August, at the Centennial Park Event Shelter, and features some of Nashville’s best musicians. If you don’t how to dance or want to learn, two free group dance lessons are offered. Each week a different big band will perform, and different dances are taught as well.
2019 will be the 36th anniversary of Big Band Dances in Metro Parks. Enjoy Centennial Park while spending a summer night listening to live big band music, and dancing the night away.
