As daily throngs of travelers move through Nashville International Airport, art can be a respite and source of inspiration in what can otherwise be a chaotic and overwhelming environment.
As part of the Arts at the Airport program, Flying Solo Exhibition Series features Tennessee-related artists offering travelers a momentary respite. The fall 2019 exhibit showcases artists from the Cumberland Furniture Guild, sculpture from Amber Anne Palo, photography by Jeff Landman, and a community exhibit by artist Leslie Haines and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s After Breast Cancer program.
Cumberland Furniture Guild is a group of furniture makers, craftspeople, artists, serious hobbyists and collectors. Their work shows the intricacies of woodworking and includes large furniture pieces, functional art and decorative items. The fall 2019 Flying Solo series will be on display at Nashville International Airport through Dec. 1, 2019.
