Come face-to-face with a stranger and share a simple moment of connection with the help of technology. Organized with the Shared_Studios arts collective, Portals is a public art initiative connecting individuals across the globe in conversation through the use of modern technology in a custom-designed gold shipping container.
Sign up at http://SharedStudios.com/Vanderbilt for a 20-minute conversation with a person in the Mexico City or Honduras portal. When you enter, you will come face-to-face with someone on the other portal and the two of you will converse as if in the same room. Translation is provided if needed.
