The Frist Art Museum commemorates the 10th anniversary of the epic 1,000-year flood with a special exhibition. The museum partnered with The Tennessean Archives and Nashville Public Library’s Special Collections to develop a visual narrative of the natural disaster.
Frist co-curators Katie Delmez and Anne Henderson created a show that maps out the event across 10 neighborhoods – including Downtown, East Nashville, Donelson, Woodbine, and Bordeaux – some of which are still recovering 10 years later.
This exhibition is on view at the Frist Art Museum’s free Conte Community Arts Gallery through Dec. 31, 2020.
