Presented by the Frist Art Museum, Light, Space, Surface: Works from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is an exhibition of sculptures, paintings, and immersive installations by artists working in Southern California from the 1960s to the present. This exhibition explores how the properties of light and space as well as highly polished surfaces can be art forms themselves. To add to the experience, the museum collaborated with the Nashville Ambient Ensemble, which composed new music inspired by the exhibition to be featured on the audio tour instead of verbal commentary. The exhibit runs June 3 through Sept. 4, 2022.
