\"20th<\/a><\/p>\n

Our original series, Nashville: The 20th<\/sup> Century in Photographs<\/i><\/a><\/strong>, has chronicled the city\u2019s journey from a small town on the Cumberland River to a banking powerhouse in the 1920s, a recording capitol in the 50s and a sprawling metropolis in the 70s. In Nashville: The 20th<\/sup> Century in Photographs Vol. IV<\/i> we will see Nashville as it rockets toward the new millennium with the return of the Ryman Auditorium and Union Station, the arrival of the NFL and the NHL, a newly revitalized downtown and much more.<\/p>\n

And we need your photos to do it! Like we did with our previous volumes,\u00a0 we’ll draw on the vast photographic resources available in the city to put together a compelling story filled with rich images. Photographs will come from the vaults of The Tennessean, The Banner <\/i>Archives <\/i>of The Public Library\u2019s Nashville Room, The Tennessee State Library and Archives, The Nashville Metropolitan Archives, The Tennessee State Museum and … this is where you come in … from private photographers . Prominent historians, politicians, journalists and renowned photographers will offer historical as well as artistic commentary on these images from Nashville\u2019s past.<\/p>\n

We are going from the mid 70s to the turn of the century in the episode, and are looking for images of things that made Nashville unique in this time period. We\u2019re looking for Opryland, the Fairgrounds, favorite restaurants, favorite schools, interesting landmarks, downtown, the Parthenon, local businesses, etc. If you’d like to contribute, we need you to email in a file (no less than 1000×1500 and no more than 10mb) to producer Justin Harvey at jharvey[at}wnpt.org or send in a copy of the picture (we will not be able to return any images) along with this release form<\/strong><\/a>. All photos will be credited.<\/p>\n
