It won Silver Tellys for &#8220;Best Cultural Program&#8221; and &#8220;Best Use of Music in a Program&#8221; and a Bronze Telly for &#8220;Best Documentary.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Congrats to producer Maryann Byrd.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1978, the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tellyawards.com\/\">Telly Awards<\/a><\/strong> have been honoring the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, THE RISE OF THE SOUTHERN BISCUIT took home the Emmys for Best Cultural Documentary and Best Documentary Writer when the Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, were awarded at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE RISE OF THE SOUTHERN BISCUIT, produced by Byrdword Productions and presented by Nashville Public Television, has been awarded three Telly Awards.
