NPT hosts ‘Transit Vote: NPT Reports Town Hall’ April 12 in Studio A

What transportation challenges does Nashville face now and in the future? How does the proposed plan affect Nashvillians and their neighborhoods? What happens if the plan fails? Are there unanswered questions?

NPT invites the public to participate in a town-hall discussion leading up to the May 1 vote on proposed transit plans for Nashville. The discussion and taping takes place Thursday, April 12, in NPT’s Studio A (161 Rains Ave. Nashville 37203). The taping begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.; doors open for a reception at 6 p.m. This event is FREE, but RSVPs are required at transitvote-npt.eventbrite.com.

Likely topics in this community discussion include what exactly is on the ballot; how the budget was determined and whether it is set in stone; and how a shifting political landscape might affect implementation of the plan. NPT’s LaTonya Turner will moderate the town-hall discussion.

This town hall will be recorded for future broadcast. Transit Vote: NPT Reports Town Hall premieres on NPT Thursday, April 19, at 8 p.m.
