Nashville Public Television picked up a record 21 Midsouth Regional Emmy® nominations for its original productions, while programs that aired on the channel garnered an additional eight, at the announcement reception on Friday, November 21 at the BMI headquarters on Music Row.

Highlights include nominations for the original productions Beautiful Tennessee: Our Scenic Waterways, Nashville WWII Stories, Little Kurdistan, Tennessee Crossroads: Smokin’ and Christmas at Belmont, and a slew of nominations for the promo work of Hugh Brian O’Neill. The popular “It’s Farmer Jason” children’s video also picked up a nod.

Programs that aired on NPT, though not produced by the station, that also scored nominations were Janet’s Planet, Tennessee Wild Side and the Time Jumpers: Jumpin’ Time.
