The Underground Art Studio is a place for youth of all ages to express themselves creatively in a safe environment. The studio is located in the basement of the Oasis Center and provides classes, workshops, and after school programs to everyone free of charge.
“Through my experiences here, I have seen the arts be an opportunity for conversation to happen that might normally not happen if we were just sitting across the table from one another,” says Abby Whisenant, program coordinator of the Underground Art Studio. “I get to then find ways to more intentionally support them and connect them to other opportunities,” she continues.
